We live in Switzerland and having never visited Lake Iseo before, we were absolutely blown away by how beautiful it was. Whilst searching online for a boutique hotel with a good kitchen, Albergo Miranda kept cropping up and after reading the glowing reviews we decided to give it a try. We stayed for one night in June 2015 and had the most incredible evening thanks to Vilma, Roberto and Sergio. Having worked in the hospitality industry myself, the Polini family have got it so right. The hotel and restaurant runs like clockwork and despite the family working incredibly hard, you hardly notice as they operate so professionally making you feel so welcome, comfortable and looked after. It was as if we were staying with an Italian family in their home, we felt so cared for. We can’t wait for our next trip as we know it will be guaranteed amazing! Many thanks to Vilma and her family for such a memorable experience and all your efforts are appreciated!
Fantastic location, spectacular lake view. Friendly staff, lovely meals
The Staff were incredibly nice. I arrived late in the night and they provided me with food despite the late hour. Over the entire stay they were very accommodating.
The staff was fantastically helpful. I chose this location to see The Floating Piers on Lake Iseo, and it was quiet, comfortable, and a great value. The breakfast was ample, the delicious local salumi were varied and a great way to try many. The view of the lake was panoramic, the food in the restaurant gave me great options of local specialties at a good value. The room was large and comfortable, great wifi all over the property was wonderful for keeping in touch with the world. The staff helped print my train ticket, give me directions for a faster route back to Milan, and went well above the norm in being helpful and friendly.
There were no shortcomings, when there were weddings in the restaurant the guests were accommodated in the first area with great service and dinner. Weddings? Yes 2 in my 4 nights there - great venue if you are looking to hold a large event.
Nothing apart from the view
The bed was hard, the rooms small The breakfast was the worst I have ever had, the place had a dirty sleazy feel I would not recommend
We are was happy from the place of the hotel It was like haven. The stuff was good and the sevice was good
1.No refrigeator 2.no tools to make cofee 3. The parking was 300 meter far away from the hotel 4. Breakfest was poor no eggs no vegtable 5. The rooms was dirty
View from balcony was very good, staff helpful and pleasant. Very peaceful and quiet. Would have used pool but not this time of year! Parking available unless 50+ Harley Davison motor bikes arrive for lunch and next day 200 for communion lunch made parking problematic.
Odours on balcony and into room (if doors open!) due to close proximity of kitchen extractor outlet. Strange position of toilet left approx. 10-15cm leg room. As genius member no welcome drink offered or provided. TV channels available at cost. Please don't offer 'free' Wi-Fi if the signal is intermittent and poor signal strength when available! Either improve it or don't offer it!
The location is the highlight and the staff were lovely! Everything was cleaned to a good standard. The showers were powerful and lovely and hot. There is a lovely little garden outside where you can enjoy a beverage!
The beds weren't the comfiest and the pillows too flat- I dare say if we asked they would of given us extra pillows though! The furniture is very old fashioned but all very functional. We had room 301 and unfortunately the bathroom window was right next to an extractor unit so we constantly had smells from the kitchen (could of been worse- thankfully the kitchen turns out some lovely food!!). Breakfast was very basic (we were a bit disappointed).
The view above the lake was awesome and the location just a short walk to the dock for the boat to other ports and the Island. Our room exited to an elevated courtyard overlooking the town and lake.
There were loud private parties with music and rukus both Friday and Saturday nights that lasted until the wee hours of the morning making getting any sleep difficult!!
No airco in the room (It was + 35 C)
Great breakfast and dinner and lovely family.Good views of lake.
Gnat bites! In garden take your mozzey spray!
Staff very helpful, wonderful position, main hotel very nice
Bedrooms were rather small and balcony was a waste of time, didn't seem to go with rest of the hotel. pool wasn't that inviting
The whole set up is excellent. The staff are great and virtually all speak very good English, which for us lazy people, where languages are concerned, is always helpful. The location is fantastic. drive from the hotel, over the mountains to Riva del Garda, near Lake Garda. Very interesting drive
The restaurant and the view over the lake are superb. Very friendly staff.
The room, balcony and shower are very small. The towel is bigger than the shower!
View and the restaurant are the highlights. Staff are personable, clearly a family affair, both for hotel and the wonderful restaurant.
Room and bathroom are very small though view from the tiny balcony is breathtaking. No fridge in room any shower is too tiny to be able to bend over so don't drop anything!
